We finally set foot on the African continent. The Tangiers Ville ferry terminal is less than a mile from our Hertz rental office, so we just hoof it instead of dealing with the taxi drivers who relentlessly harass you as you come off the ferry. A few others were also walking into town.
Tangiers is a big chaotic city which I'm sure had its charms and interests, but we were anxious to get moving to today's destination, the hillside town of Chefchouan, where all the buildings and walkways are painted blue and white.
